What is Voiceflow used for?

Voiceflow is a design and deployment platform for AI agents — chatbots, voice assistants, and conversational flows — built for product teams and conversation designers rather than developers or ecommerce managers. The core of Voiceflow is its canvas-based flow builder, where you drag, drop, and connect conversation steps visually. What makes it more than a basic flow builder is the depth of logic it supports — conditional branches, API calls, variable capture, custom functions, LLM prompts, and knowledge base integrations can all be wired together visually without writing much code. It supports deployment to web chat, WhatsApp, Alexa, Google Assistant, and custom voice applications. The free plan is functional and enough to build and test a real agent before paying. The Pro plan at $50 a month is a significant step up and is most justified for product teams or agencies building and managing agents professionally.
